Joshua Preston ship support services was commenced in 1981 and concerned itself mainly with the reactivation and delivery of ships on a world wide basis. The company would do the entire operation with my own crews sourcing spare parts and preparing the vessel for either their new owner or delivery to ship breakers. Joshua Preston Ship Repair is still active in the repair of vessels and their machinery based at their own premises in Cornwall. All ship repair staff are ex-seagoing personnel and all have a vast knowledge of slow, medium and high speed diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic repairs are also catered for and thus the entire ship systems are encompassed in our operations.
Engineers are available to assist ship staff in routine maintenance and necessary works in conjunction with classification societies.
Our engineers are all ex Merchant Navy Officers with a wealth of experience, no engine too small or too large, older engines are a speciality.
